...one flavor at a time...
I recently walked into the vape shop and decided to change up my flavor. Partly because my favorite is EVERYONE's favorite and it flies off the shelves, partly because I like to try new things in general. I thought the traditional cinnamon might be a nice change. I typically like minty or fruity flavors though, so I thought this might be too plain for me. I kind of think of vapers in two categories: tobacco or menthol. Vapers who were once smokers who smoked regular cigarettes, or started out vaping tobacco flavored liquid typically enjoy those bold, um... earthy, flavors. You know your coffee, vanilla or chocolate varieties. These vapers give you the sour expression when you tell them you like berry, fruit or sweet cereal types - "UGH! That is far tooooo sweet for me! How can you stand it?!". Then there are us menthol smokers... you know, the "I'm a social smoker" types! Menthol just seemed to cut the nicotine and chewing on leaves feeling we were trying to deny. We go for the fruity pebbles of eLiquids. So knowing that cinnamon would probably be too bold and potent for me I thought I'd give the new Cinnabomb a try and risk the gross sticky aftertaste. Here's what I discovered.
I tried it first straight, with no "Icing" I didn't want it to be too sweet and I wanted to know if this really tasted like the cinnabuns I bought at the mall when I was 14. Let me tell you, it's ridiculously tasty. The Cinnabomb eLiquid alone seriously has a good balance of the sweet dessert roll paired with the perfect pinch of cinnamon. Not like candy at all, yet not like taking the cinnamon challenge and having your buddies post it to YouTube.
Then I tried adding a couple drops of A&N Cinnamon to bring out the flavor a bit more, and it enhanced it without taking away the subtle sweetness. It was like licking the bottom of the carton where the cinnamon filling oozed out... mmmmm :-P
Last I thought, "What the heck, let's turn this up!" and I tried the eLiquid with a few drops of the "Icing". The Icing flavor makes all the difference in my opinion. If you are open to the sweetness of vaping, then you want the icing. It cut the cinnamon, which I know, I know, I just said I wanted that extra cinnamon flavor, but it did it in a way the didn't diminish it. I can still taste that sweet dessert bread and cinnamon I initially puffed, but this added to the flavor without really changing it. It is honestly like vaping more flavors rather than changing the existing one. I have never mixed eLiquid and had this experience.
So let's talk about Unicorns. Not only do I feel this large bottle of Cinnabomb eLiquid and additional Icing bottle are worth it, but they include a Unicorn bottle with your package so you can mix them without having to go through eyeballing and filling your tank with two types of eLiquid. Once you find that perfect mix for you, just fill up the slim, childproof bottle and refill to your heart's content (or until you run out and have to buy more). You will want to buy more.
This eLiquid did not fulfill my worst fear of a gross aftertaste. It is a true to form vaping experience that leaves you wanting more, not with a lingering cotton mouth. Whether you enjoy bold and rich or creamy and sweet eLiquid varieties, this may just be the juice that bridges the gap between those two groups.
